Article # 1

Legal entities and individuals, alike, are exempted from paying any additional social insurance payments until 31 January 2011 according to Social Insurance Laws No. 79 for 1975 and No. 108 for 1976 applicable to business-owners and, Social Insurance Law No. 50 for 1978 applicable to any Egyptian national working abroad.

The applied exempted percentage will be as follows:

§ 100 % of the additional payments provided that the original social insurance payments are paid in-full by 30 June 2011.

§ 75 % of the additional payments provided the original social insurance payments are paid in-full during the period 1 July 2011 to 30 September 2011.

§ 50% of the additional payments, if the original social payments are paid in-full during the period 1 October 2011 to 31 December 31 2011.

The above decree was published in the Official Journal. This authoritative order has the full force of the law and will take effect as from the date of publication, February 16th, 2011.
